Director: Sonal Joshi

Cast: Shilpa Shetty, Amit Sadh, Kusha Kapila, Dilnaz Irani

Story: The story of the movie revolves around 38-year-old housewife Sukhpreet Kalra a.k.a. Sukhee played by Shilpa Shetty. Sukhee is exhausted from boring daily life and wants to take a break from it. She leaves her husband and daughter in Punjab and comes to Delhi where she spent her schooldays as well as collegedays, and will attend the school reunion. Those were happy days in her life, but now she is kind of stuck. During the reunion, she relives the old days with her friends for a week. She transcends the boundaries of a wife and mother and experiences the open sky of a woman. How does Sukhee’s life get impacted after meeting her school friends- to explore this visit your nearby theater and watch ‘Sukhee’.

Pros:  Shilpa has played the character of Sukhee well. Amit Sadh’s performance is also good, though his role is not much. Kusha Kapila is outstanding in her character. The rest of the cast has done well too.

Cons: The story is realistic from the beginning, but the flow of the film falters in the second half – the script is responsible for this. Though the dialogues are written well, many scenes seem to be incomplete, especially those of Sukhee’s friends.

Conclusion: Director Sonal Joshi did not-so-bad in her debut. Nevertheless, this movie has not-so-new to deliver- the situations in this movie will remind you of ‘English Vinglish’, ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ to name a few. However, the bottom line is good- find your true self and let it shine. This movie can we watched at least once.
